  When my Mom died in 2010 I was overcome with such deep grief, but not for the usual family reasons.

The very young guy who assisted me at Fernwood rushed to bring me water and a box of tissues. He was unflappable when I explained my unusual circumstance, along with having to go through the experience alone. He tended to me perfectly. No one else could have been better. He was exactly who I needed at that moment.

And, in the middle of my profuse gushing of tears, and run away emotions, he came up with an incredible solution to handle my specific situation which eliminated added grief. It wasn't monitory, it was an industry practice I never knew of, and didn't add any cost. He just knew what I needed, though so young.

I was late getting back before the cremation because I had driven home to gather 3, organic, items to place in the box. They waited for me, and allowed me to place flowers, paper copies of 2 photos, and a small cotton weave cloth in the box just before. That meant so much to me.

I'm online right now looking at the Fernwood website because I'm planning in advance for myself.  I wouldn't go anywhere else.
