I've visited John and Jill's on Commercial just east of 101 for almost seven years. When it was allowed, I packed several cheesecakes in my carry-on luggage as gifts. Even my friends who normally don't care for cheesecake, rave about John & Jill's Cheesecake. The chocolate raspberry cake is divine as well as many of the other flavors that they bake. The Sampler and mini-cheesecakes make fine gifts. I enjoy the fact that they stay well in the freezer until I am ready to eat them. The only problem is that they don't remain in the freezer for long.

Call beforehand to see what they have in the "seconds" freezer even though their "seconds" are firsts to me. J&J export a large percentage of their goods to nations where the people are known to be fanatical about detail and quality. So they have to be great.
