on Feb 28th, 2010Lucano's is a friendly, casual restaurant where you can get a fabulous meal at great prices. The wine selection is good and the pizza is out of this world. A true gem in our own backyard! The owner and his family are always there and they work hard. It shows! | Reviewed by Susan
on Jan 21st, 2010I love this little place. Best kept secret is their breakfast sandwiches -- assorted hot scramble in cibatta bread. You can get them to go, but they are really too good to eat on the run. I go regularly for dinner with girlfriends not only for the good Italian food but also for the attention! We're always treated like cherished family. | Reviewed by Michelle
on Jan 7th, 2010Cafe Lucano is a hidden gem. There are two main reasons to go and go back . First, the food is outstanding - high quality ingredients made by someone who knows how to handle them delicately and beautifully. Every dish I and my friends ordered was excellent. The portions were generous, though, and we ordered too much. However, we had delicious left-overs the next day. The second reason to go is the staff - Pasquale and his sons are there to greet you, welcome you and make sure you enjoy every minute. You feel as though you are the only one in the restaurant. The setting is not formal or fancy, but comfortable. It feels like a little slice of Italy right here in Marin. I highly recommend Cafe Lucano. | Reviewed by Jessica
on May 7th, 2008This place is my best little secret. The food is fantastic authentic Italian. I lived in Italy growing up and this place has my vote.
I recommend everything with the home made tomato sauce. I'm sure the rest is great, too. I bring my two year old with no stress and the staff is very friendly. I'm just waiting for a serious critic to discover this place. | Reviewed by Marsi
on Jan 25th, 2008Delicious pizza, the dough is light, fluffy and definitely tasty. Toppings are traditional, yet upscale in quality. The Barista is well qualified and can make your coffee choice to taste. Try the Caprise salad, which can replace a light lunch entre. Good! You'll be surprised with the wine selection - - it's Italian. |
