Impressions of Light will be comprised of some forty large prints, including images of flowers and the California Tide line. "The intensity of the living process draws me to the tideline again and again," Earnest says. "Every niche is occupied by plants and animals whose tenacity and determination to survive is made clear by their diverse life support systems. The search for beauty first lead me to look closely below the surface of a tide pool. The quest for beauty leads me through cycles of curiosity, discovery, and sometimes added awareness." This same cycle is made available to all of us through this exhibit.
